Bertha McBride passed on Monday, January 12, 2009 at the home of her daughter, Myrtle Starks. Bertha has 2 daughters, Myrtle Starks (Jerry) and Janie Mae Orr, 13 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 27 great-great children, 1 sister, Olivia Harris of Labadieville, LA; a son-in-law, Bernell Gaines; three sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Mervin McBride and a daughter, Ruth McBride Gaines, three sisters, Louise Celestine, Eliza Muse, and Stella Daggs; eight brothers, Rueben Jr., Louis, Royal, Robert, Will, Jack, Joseph, and Junior Johnson.
Bertha is the daughter of the late Rueben Sr. and Dilcy Gray Johnson, granddaughter of Hennie Gray and great granddaughter of Eliza Allen Blunt. |

Robert A. Joseph, age 53 passed on Monday, November 10th of a possible massive heart attack trigged by asthma. He is survived by his sister Linda Canty-Gilkey, and brother Wilbert Joseph Jr. both of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents Wilbert Joseph Sr. and Dorothy Mae Jones Joseph and one brother Peter Joseph. |

Alex had been having some health challenges and he leaves to morn his eighteen year old, autistic son, Wilmon Bradley Jones. |
